BIG SCREEN 2018 - OBLIVION
It is the adventure of a little boy. A stubborn boy, a different world, a severe warning, and an unknown destination. Who will he meet on his journey? and what is he truly looking for? He tries to turn back time, but fate seems has a different plan...
The project made by a team of three students from Tisch School of the Art of NYU, among three months. Oblivion is a 3D Animation Project made with multi-software like Cinema 4D, Motion Capture and AfterEffect. It is not only a traditional animation work, we blend both technologies and art into the project smoothly. Our team used motion capture technology with Tisch dancer for complex movements of the character instead of manual animation.
On Nov. 30th 2018, Oblivion has successfully shown at a 120 feet long LED screen at the lounge of the IAC building at West Chelsea of Manhattan. Over 2000 attendees shown up and witnessed the debut of Oblivion.
On April. 6th 2019, Oblivion won the Best Animation Short Award at New York Fusion Film Festival of 2019.
